Users are able to adopt the output obtained from standard SNP calling software such as ANNOVAR without substantial re-formatting. Simply copy the lines with the essential information you want to load into BALL-SNP to one file. Due to clarity, BALL-SNP is able to visualize the structures of only one single protein at the same time. Hence, your input file should only contain the gene symbol and the corresponding information of one single gene.

The file name should contain “_annovar.txt” at the end.

Example for an ANNOVAR-based input format file:
annovar JUP

To maintain flexibility, we also provide the possibility to state a preferred PDB identifier within both input formats. If so, the first line in your ANNOVAR-based input file has to contain the code word PDB: with the selected PDB identifier, for example:

annovar PDB
